L’Oosterschelde est un bras actif de l’Escaut, jonction avec la mer du Nord. Le plancton, le fond vaseux et les courants y réduisent la visibilité à quelques mètres en augmentant la turbidité de l’eau. Les courants peuvent y atteindre 4 nœuds !

La floraison planctonique est terminée. Le soleil brille, l’été bat son plein sur les rives de l’Escaut Oriental. Les habitants des abysses vaquent tranquillement à leurs occupations sans se douter qu’une terrible invasion se prépare insidieusement... Les méduses !

The Oosterschelde is an active arm of the Scheldt, junction with the North Sea. The plankton, the muddy bottom and the currents reduce visibility to a few meters by increasing the turbidity of the water. The currents can reach 4 knots!

The planktonic bloom is over. The sun is shining, summer is in full swing on the banks of the Eastern Scheldt. The inhabitants of the abyss calmly go about their business without suspecting that a terrible invasion is insidiously preparing... The jellyfish!
